Tonight is our final concert! We’ll be singing for the second time at the Basilica di San Lorenzo. It’s been an amazing trip to sing in the spaces where these musical works were originally performed. It’s also been a joy to meet people on the street, in the restaurants or at the market, and see them at the concert — making new friends. Even though we speak a different language than these people, the music ties us together.
Here is the text from the first concert piece; a symbol of hope for those in need.
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life,
which God hath promised to them that love him.”
