Back on U.S. Soil

Gloriæ Dei Cantores has arrived back in the States with hearts full of gratitude for what God has shown us. After spending time of rest and rehearsal in Barga, the choir performed for the 1000th anniversary (1018-2018) of the church at the Abbey of San Miniato. Dom Bernardo, among others, was particularly effusive about the program and the Salve Regina of Arvo Pärt. We also sang in the beautiful space of Orsanmichele, right in the center of Florence. The fact that these concerts were part of a larger symposium on Florence and the Idea of the New Jerusalem and that one of our own artists were featured only added to the special nature of the occasion. God gave us great beauty to look at in these historic worship spaces and on top of that, warm, sunny weather!
