The Church of the Transfiguration
Home of Gloriæ Dei Cantores
The Church of the Transfiguration is the home of Gloriæ Dei Cantores; a magnificent house of worship where the choir sings weekly services in the Fall, Winter and Spring, as well as seasonal concerts throughout the year.
It is a contemporary expression of an ancient fourth-century style of architecture. Constructed of Minnesota limestone, it features a long rectangular nave, a rounded apse at the east end, narrow side aisles, a peaked timber roof, and interior columns and arches along the side aisles.
Combining mosaics and frescos, sculpted bronze, stone, and glass, the art program visually proclaims the message that all earthly life has heavenly meaning, and in all things God may be glorified.
